I can't not blog today because I didn't yesterday and the year before
Lithuanian Jores or Beltane honoring! To bring in the fertility of Spring and Bless our garden we made Garden Goddesses....each unique and very magical! Typically Lithuanians would set up a swing in the forest and take turns flying through the air - our goddesses will have to do the flying for us this May until we find a suitable forest tree....We also started the first batch of oil for our healing Comfrey salve - just can't get enough of it.

Osha la, Osha, Bear Medicine, Empress of the Dark Forest, Colorado Cough Root, Loveroot, Lovage....
Oh, Osha laaaaaaaa! Our lovely Osha root, specifically chosen with Kahill in mind.Wow, it looks a bit male? Our root was so perfect, I don't think we can chop the ends for tincture...our Osha will be dried, whole and used as a powerful healing tea this winter. What a fantastic weekend spent with Osha in the mind, body and soul....thanks to Ann Drucker and Jenny for keeping such a powerful and loving space!

Fall Fetishes
Wool washing, and more veg harvest. This beautiful wool came from our own Lyon's Farmette sheep, tended and loved by Karen Wallace. This particular batch was from her Navajo Churro sheep which were the very first domesticated sheep of the new world and have endured for over 400 years.
