Working in the Magic Forest
We took a walk in the Magic Forest on Easter day and found knome homes, dragon prints in the mud as well as.....23 single flip flops swirling in an eddy down stream of Lyons! Size 1-13, Timberland to Keens and all inbetween. If you went tubing in the South or NorthSaint Vrain and lost a shoe - I know where it is :)
We also took 2 large trash cans (out of the river) and filled them with waterway choking debris from our upstream communities. What better way to celebrate the seeds of spring with Mother Nature?Upping the Operation

Getting Spring Fever
We have been gearing up for Spring with seedlings and various yard projects! Just finished is our cold-frame with auto open spring so our seedlings don't bake as well as a mighty little straw bale worm compost. The rock wall was to appease the HOA should they visit the neighborhood :)
The Dzekciorius-Bailey family goal for the summer is to grow most of our veg, fruit and herbs! We'll see what happens...

Blast the Mass

The need to blend camping, biking and some healthy competetive spirit brought us to Snowmass for Blast the Mass. Cass took on some fantastic terrain and finished his first XC race - 7 miles of "Gruel" as he likes to call it. Kahill mastered the jumps and rows of stairs at the visitor center where we were camped for the weekend. Not to be outdone, Chase picked up the speed on the Strider and did a little off-roading.
Nothing like a cool few days in the hills....
