Working in the Magic Forest

We took a walk in the Magic Forest on Easter day and found knome homes, dragon prints in the mud as well as.....23 single flip flops swirling in an eddy down stream of Lyons! Size 1-13, Timberland to Keens and all inbetween. If you went tubing in the South or NorthSaint Vrain and lost a shoe - I know where it is :)

We also took 2 large trash cans (out of the river) and filled them with waterway choking debris from our upstream communities. What better way to celebrate the seeds of spring with Mother Nature?

Upping the Operation

Those poor seedlings need some extra love. Although the window sill started as a fine spot for our future food source, they really started to need the added light and warmth, SOooo, another fine project opportunity for Cass and Papa!

Caring for Seedlings

Since we decided to share a 50x50 local farm garden plot with some friends, we had to get serious about some seedlings. This was the first round....I started them in egg cartons with hopes of moving them into the beautiful cold frame Dave made - with auto venting door spring :) Thanks Love...
