Oh, Osha laaaaaaaa! Our lovely Osha root, specifically chosen with Kahill in mind.Wow, it looks a bit male? Our root was so perfect, I don't think we can chop the ends for tincture...our Osha will be dried, whole and used as a powerful healing tea this winter. What a fantastic weekend spent with Osha in the mind, body and soul....thanks to Ann Drucker and Jenny for keeping such a powerful and loving space!

Fall Fetishes
Wool washing, and more veg harvest. This beautiful wool came from our own Lyon's Farmette sheep, tended and loved by Karen Wallace. This particular batch was from her Navajo Churro sheep which were the very first domesticated sheep of the new world and have endured for over 400 years.

Catching Bullfrogs with Friends
The boys, in hopes of finding a great frog leg recipe have caught a few candidates for dinner. Too bad boys...not tonight. Their mission? To save the native frog population in our local pond and keep the bull frogs at bay. For the record, no frogs were hurt for or during the photo shoot! Anyone have a good recipe?

Working in the Magic Forest
We took a walk in the Magic Forest on Easter day and found knome homes, dragon prints in the mud as well as.....23 single flip flops swirling in an eddy down stream of Lyons! Size 1-13, Timberland to Keens and all inbetween. If you went tubing in the South or NorthSaint Vrain and lost a shoe - I know where it is :)
We also took 2 large trash cans (out of the river) and filled them with waterway choking debris from our upstream communities. What better way to celebrate the seeds of spring with Mother Nature?
